I attended my first yoga class with my mother when I was 7 years old, in 1970, and I enjoyed it so much that I've been doing it ever since. Even at that young age, I felt privileged to be included in this experience of physical elegance and mental clarity. Since that time yoga has always been part of my life. I always knew it was a passion and am delighted that it has become my full-time profession. I started teaching classes in 1995 and I regularly organize seminars with contributors from different horizons.
Initially my academic studies took me in a totally different direction: I attended the Collge Protestant de Beyrouth and La Mission Laique Francaise de Beyrouth for my undergraduate studies. Afterwards I got a degree in Fine Arts from L' Acadmie Libanaise des Beaux Arts de Beyrouth – ALBA.
In the nineties I was living in Paris where I was fortunate enough to be able to experience teachers from a variety of yoga styles at different schools and I ended up at the "teacher training of Andr Van Lysebeth " where I did a four year yoga teacher's diploma.
At other times I have stayed in an Ashram for a few months learning various Sivananda techniques and I still attend Yoga seminars at different Yoga schools across the world several times a year and travel to India frequently.
Yoga is my source of energy and I like to constantly add to my yoga knowledge whenever possible to insure I never lose balance.
In 2002, together with "New TV", I produced one hundred 25 minute episodes of Hatha Yoga which were broadcast daily for three consecutive years on NTV SAT.
After that, I moved to "Future TV" with a daily 25 minute Hatha Yoga class and a Yoga Show during the health section of the weekend program.
In 2006, in collaboration with Middle East Airlines, I developed a 15 minute program of Yoga – base exercises for passengers on all medium and long-range flights.
I'm currently working on a book and DVD of Hatha Yoga in Arabic.
